The St John’s Student Club prides itself on its extensive community service program. St John’s is one of the few colleges at the University of Queensland that regularly participates in serving the wider community through fundraising efforts and social events.
Students at St John’s can participate in a number of fundraising activities including:
- Block Barbecues
- Red Cross Blood Drives and Door Knock Appeals
- Clean Up Australia Day
- Earth Hour
- Live Below the Line
- Biggest Morning Tea
- Wellness Week
The Student Club also runs various social events for the benefit of chosen charities. The College Shop team sells various snacks from the Junior Common Room, with the purpose of raising money for the Student Club Sponsor Child through World Vision.
The College is immensely proud of its continued contribution to the community and will always seek to further that contribution.
