Warden (Acting)

Mr Glen Cronan | BBus (USQ), DipT (QUT)

Mr Glen Cronan has had extensive experience for over twenty years in working with students in residential contexts.  He has served as Deputy Director of Boarding at Ipswich Grammar School and, prior to that, as a Head of Residence at St Joseph’s College, Nudgee, and at St Brendan’s College, Yeppoon.

His teaching experience extends a further decade, his having taught accounting, business studies, economics, health and physical education, and religious studies at the aforementioned institutions, as well as at Downlands College, Canberra Grammar School, and Villanova College, where he was also Head of Sport.

Glen’s most recent employment has been as Sports Coordinator with Australian University Sport, the organisation which organises the annual University Games.  Glen is heavily involved in national, state, and regional sports administration.  He currently serves on the Australian Schools Rugby Union Executive and is an Australian Schoolboys Rugby Selector.

The Warden is responsible to the Council for the efficient conduct and administration of the affairs of the College, in caring for and promoting the fullness of collegiate life at St John’s: academic, cultural, sporting, spiritual, and developmental. The Warden and his wife, Lynne, live on-site.


Senior Tutor and Chaplain

The Reverend Dr Ceri Wynne | BSc (Hons) (Qld), BTh (BCT), MTh (CSU), PhD (Qld)

The Reverend Dr Ceri Wynne has taught both biochemistry and theology at different stages of her academic career and has research interests in the nexus of those disciplines.  Her most recent academic roles have included being a sessional lecturer in the School of Theology, Charles Sturt University, at the campus of St Francis’ Anglican Theological College in Milton, Brisbane.  She also served there as Academic Dean.

Her undergraduate and postgraduate training in biochemistry was undertaken at The University of Queensland, where she tutored in her discipline.

She currently serves on the Council of the Anglican Church Grammar School, as the nominee of the Archbishop of Brisbane.  In 2015, she concluded an appointment as Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s Church, Parish of East Brisbane, having previously been Chaplain at St Aidan’s School, Brisbane.  She currently serves as an Honorary Associate Priest at St John the Baptist’s, Parish of Bulimba.

The Senior Tutor is responsible for the academic support programs and learning environment at the College.  The Chaplain is responsible for the spiritual welfare of the residential College community, as well as the extended community of alumni and friends of the College; and collaborates with the Warden in the conduct of chapel services.


Director of Music

Mr Andrej Kouznetsov FROC

The Director of Music trains and directs the College and Chapel Choirs and organises the musical program for Formal Dinners and is available to advise and encourage students to play the Organ.

Andrej is currently Assistant Director of Music at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane.


Operations Manager

Mr John Nightingale 

Mr John Nightingale joined the College in 2000 and is responsible for the oversight of College buildings and facilities, as well as the work of the housekeeping, grounds and maintenance staff.


Senior Chef Manager

Mr Chris Boyd

Mr Chris Boyd is our Senior Chef Manager and has worked in hospitality as a chef, and bar and hotel management for over thirty years. Hailing from the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Chris moved to the Sunshine Coast and now calls Brisbane home.

Chris is passionate about food and enjoys the challenges that come with high volume function catering. His culinary achievements include catering for the Australian Open and Melbourne Cup. Catering for over 300 St John’s College residents on a daily basis and also College conference delegates comes naturally to Chris.

When he’s not in the kitchen designing nutritious menus for our College residents, Chris can be found enjoying a game of golf, or watching his second love, Formula 1. Chris makes the most of the outdoors, and with an Open Water Diving Certificate, he indulges his love of the water.


Marketing and Community Engagement Officer

Mrs Lisa Jane Alexiou | DipMkt (TAFE), GradCertLeadership&Management (Curtin), GradCertCom (USC)

Mrs Lisa Jane Alexiou was appointed to the College in April 2019. She is a proactive business professional with over thirty years of experience in marketing, sales, digital marketing and communications.

Lisa has consulted to and worked with large corporations, not-for-profit organisations, SMEs, the education sector and the wider community. Her experience has spanned global, national and local iconic brands: AccorHotels, Sensis (Yellow Pages), World Vision, Youi and Brisbane State High school. She served on the Pastoral Board of St Theresa’s Catholic College (2007 – 2012), was President of Noosa Sea Scouts (2008 – 2010) and Parents Centre (Taupo) New Zealand (1998 – 2002).

Passionate about enriching relationships within the College, its Alumni, Brisbane universities, secondary schools and colleges and the wider business community, Lisa is keen to showcase the vibrant community and achievements of St John’s College.

Having lived on both sides of Australia and in New Zealand, Lisa now enjoys Brisbane city living. She is married to Paris and has two children. Her son, Sacha, is studying Biomedical Science and daughter, Natalya, is currently completing Year 11. She also has a cavoodle, Blossom. Outside of work, Lisa can be found reading and writing fiction, fueling her epigenetics and neuroscience fascination, and attempting to play the piano.

Administration Officer

Mrs Dianna Fitzgerald

Mrs Dianna Fitzgerald joined the College in 2016 and is responsible for all administration, admissions and college events as well as welcoming all who call at the College, either in person, by phone, or electronically.


Finance Officer

Mrs Amy Hearn BA

Mrs Amy Hearn joined the College in 2018 and is responsible for the day-to-day handling of College accounts.
