St John's College boasts more than 5,000 living alumni. Many Old Johnians have recorded exceptional accomplishments professionally and through service to the community. Every year St John's College recognises the achievements of alumni by holding the College's Alumni Awards.

Award Categories
Young Alum of the Year
Celebrates young alumni (35 years or younger at the nomination deadline) whose early accomplishments inspire and demonstrate leadership to both students and fellow alumni.
Community Service Award
Honours alumni who have sustained volunteer efforts and made a meaningful difference in their communities. Nominees should show a deep commitment to service and civic contribution.
Johnian of the Year
This award recognises an Old Johnian whose distinguished professional achievements, leadership, and service reflect the values of St John’s and who continues to serve as an inspiration to others.

- Awards presentation: Annual OJA AGM (4 October 2025)
Criteria
Nominees are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Be accomplished or recognised for their professional, volunteer or related achievements;
- Demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the College;
- Serve as a role model to others, particularly to College and/or university students, ideally demonstrating a passion for advocacy and leadership.
