Katie has an extensive background in events and communications, predominantly across the education sector. Her past professional roles span educational publishing, events management, community engagement, and fundraising outreach, underpinned by strong writing, editorial, and interpersonal skills. Following a previous role in Clubs & Societies at The University of Queensland, Katie enjoys working with students, and has built knowledge of campus events, university procedures, and student lifecycles.

Having lived and worked in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia, Katie also brings a global approach with the ability to connect with diverse people from different backgrounds and cultures. She especially loves meeting students and parents within the St John’s College family.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys travel, history, music and tennis. She operates a community street library outside her home and organises occasional fundraisers for the MND Foundation.
