Additional Academic Support

Academic Mentoring

All students have access to academic mentoring at St John’s College.

The Dean of Studies regularly advises students on course selection, enrolment issues, academic appeals, navigating the university system, and much more.

Students are encouraged to seek advice on academic matters proactively.

All residents must achieve a GPA of 4.5 to remain at College. Students who fail to meet this requirement must meet with the Warden to discuss an academic study plan and justify why they should remain at College.

Academic and Study Skills Workshops

All students are provided the opportunity to participate in regular Academic and Study Skills workshops.

These workshop cover topics such as time management, academic writing, research skills, and exam preparation.

Students also have access to a bank of resources and worksheets to assist them in upskilling in these areas on an individual basis.
