Vicky Pascon, from Brazil, Psychology, 2022-2023
St John’s College has a great standing in the UQ community. It is known for being an academically focused College, which is important to me. I knew St John’s offered more tutorials and academic support than any other residential college. And that solidified my decision to come to St John’s.
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Vicky completed high school in England and then moved to Australia for university. She is a Psychology student, but is also keenly interested in business and entrepreneurship.
At College, Vicky loves being involved in the musical and cultural activities, and is a student assistant in the Alumni and Engagement Office. She is also involved in several projects at UQ.
Vicky is highly involved with UQ Ventures, a community of entrepreneurial students who are preparing to launch startups and collaborate with like-minded innovators. Through UQ Ventures, she completed Curiosity, a six-week program to develop early-stage entrepreneurial ideas and the Innovation Challenge.
After graduation, Vicky is planning to pursue a career in management consulting for one of the Big Four.
