The St John’s College Foundation plays a vital role in contributing to the future of the College, ensuring that financial support is available to talented students and that the College continues to thrive for generations to come. Through the strategic management of philanthropic funds, the Foundation provides scholarships, bursaries, and improvements to campus facilities that enrich student life and strengthen the College community.
Since 1988, the Foundation has been dedicated to enabling students from diverse backgrounds to access the life changing opportunities that a St John’s College education provides. Each year, the Foundation proudly provides financial assistance to over 70 Johnians, ensuring they can fully engage in College life without financial barriers.
Led by Foundation Director Greg O’Meara and governed by an independent Board of Directors, including the CEO and Warden of St John’s College, the Foundation is committed to transparency, accountability, and strategic oversight. Many of our Board members are Old Johnians, united by a shared passion for service and a deep connection to the College.
The Foundation’s work is made possible through the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends of the College. As a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), all donations are fully tax deductible. Additionally, with the College covering all administrative costs, every dollar raised goes directly to supporting students and enhancing College life. With a disciplined investment approach, the Foundation ensures that every contribution has a lasting impact, strengthening St John’s College now and into the future.
