The Warden

Rose Alwyn was the first woman and first layperson appointed as Warden of St John’s College. She is committed to developing future leaders through an holistic education experience.

Ms Alwyn brings a wealth of professional expertise to the chief executive officer role at St John’s.

She has 25 years’ experience in the management, leadership and governance of not-for-profit enterprises, including in the education, employment and homelessness sectors.

Her previous appointments include Master at St Mark’s College at the University of Adelaide and president of University Colleges Australia, the representative national professional body for Heads and Deputies of residential colleges and halls.

Ms Alwyn has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration. She is also a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She was appointed in 2019.
